CHRISTMAS MANNEQUINS
For the last three years, I have been photographing the secret world of Seattle mannequins. Simulacra in the truest sense, these fashion mavens tend to look the sharpest at Christmas (though I did love Nordstrom’s Spring collection). Some of these larger prints were recently hanging at Café Septieme over on Broadway (Capitol Hill, to you locals), along with a select few infared dolls. My aesthetic is simple: I make no bones about manipulating exposures or the physical camera, but whatever shows up in my viewfinder is what I present.
